Terrorist Tweets Being Pulled

In a action that seems long overdue, Twitter is starting to pull pro-terrorist tweets from their site. The company has resisted doing that up till now, as they are very strong proponents of free speech. But, now, enough is enough. Freedom of speech has always had its limits. We all learned in school that freedom of speech did not include yelling “fire” in a crowded theater. And it should not include rooting for the wanton killing of innocent people.  Hopefully other sites will follow suit.

In the world of business acquisitions, two deals took place in the last few days that affect many of us: First, the Japanese Company Softbank bought ARM, the chip manufacture based out of Britain, for a whopping $32 Billion. How does that affect you? ARM makes the processors that run all your cellphones and many of your tablets, including iPad.

The other big deal was anti-virus company Avast buying another anti-virus company, AVG for $1.3 Billion. I am sure many of you use one or the other anti-virus software in your computers. I have used both at one time or another, but not lately.

So why not get started reading today’s blog. -JRC
