The average Internet download speed in the U.S. is slower than that in 27 other countries, according to a new report by the Communications Workers of America.

Sony adds wireless e-reader as Kindle rival by Reuters
Sony Corp on Tuesday unveiled its first wireless electronic reader, a move to challenge Amazon.com Inc's momentum in the growing digital book market. At $399, the "Daily Edition," features a 7-inch touch screen, and an aluminum body, and will go on sale in December. AT&T will provide its 3G wireless Internet service.
